Work with us

Help build a careful, reliable record.

Bihar Hate Archive documents hate speech and discrimination targeting Bihari people. We are inviting two Research & Documentation Interns to help verify sources, organise evidence, and prepare clear, contextual records.

Bring your curiosity, care, and willingness to learn. Your contribution can help preserve information that deserves a place in the public record.

What you will do

  • Search social media for potentially relevant tweets, videos, and speeches targeting Bihari people, and locate original sources.
  • Check dates, context, translations, and supporting evidence against BHA’s inclusion criteria.
  • Identify duplicate reports and flag uncertain or missing information.
  • Organise evidence and prepare sourced case summaries for review.
  • Help document historical incidents and improve existing records.

Every draft receives editorial review. Publication and case approval remain with the BHA Admin.

Who should apply

Students, early-career professionals, and self-taught contributors from all regions and backgrounds are welcome. Applicants should be 18 or older.

  • Regular familiarity with social media and an ability to search for relevant posts, videos, and speeches, then check their original context.
  • Careful judgment, attention to detail, and clear writing.
  • Reliability and availability for a six-month commitment.
  • Comfort researching material in Hindi and English. Additional regional-language skills are welcome.
  • Respect for confidentiality, fairness, and evidence-based documentation.

Previous experience is helpful, but not essential. A CV or portfolio is optional.

A small commitment. Meaningful work.
