About the Archive

Understanding our mission, methodology, and commitment to documenting anti-Bihari discrimination.

Mission

The Bihar Hate Archive (BHA) is a systematic documentation and public accountability initiative that collects, categorises, and exposes hate speech, xenophobia, genocidal rhetoric, and regional stereotyping targeting Bihari people across digital platforms.

Our goal is to create an authoritative, evidence-based record of anti-Bihari discrimination to raise awareness, support victims, and pressure authorities into action.

We believe that documentation is the first step toward accountability. Every recorded incident builds a case for justice and helps break the cycle of hate.

What We Document

Genocidal Rhetoric

Explicit calls for violence, ethnic cleansing, or physical harm against Bihari communities.

Xenophobic Speech

Dehumanizing language, slurs, and hate speech targeting people based on their Bihari identity.

Regional Stereotyping

Systematic perpetuation of harmful stereotypes that reduce an entire community to negative caricatures.

Systemic Discrimination

Documented cases of institutional bias in housing, employment, education, and public services.

Methodology

01

Collection

Crowdsourced submissions combined with manual monitoring of social media platforms including X/Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram.

02

Verification

Each submission undergoes rigorous verification to ensure authenticity. We cross-reference multiple sources and preserve original evidence.

03

Archival

Verified incidents are catalogued using a standardised format including case IDs, metadata, verbatim quotes, and supporting evidence.

04

Accountability

We tag relevant authorities, document patterns, and maintain a public record that can be used for advocacy and legal purposes.

Our Principles

Evidence-Based

Every entry is backed by verifiable evidence — screenshots, URLs, and timestamps.

Objective

We document facts without editorialising. The archive speaks for itself.

Action-Oriented

We tag authorities and maintain records that can support legal and advocacy efforts.
